For a year I have felt pain when I wear them and trying to figure it out. Then I had worn a panty liner last week and I felt the same pain. I thought at first the culprit was because I normally don't wear tampons and I had to in an emergancy. So month after month I have ovary pains. The doctors have no clue. I just came up with this allergy thing last week. I last saw the doctor in November.

An allergic reaction or sensitivity to menstrual products is a real possibility if you are using commercial options such as commercial tampons (e.g. Tampax) or commercial pads (e.g. Always). This is because commercial menstrual products are bleached and treated with chemicals in order to make them whiter, commercial pads also use chemical gels within their core to absorb menstrual blood.

It isn't know what these chemicals are because there are laws in place to allow manufacturers to keep this information from customers – seriously, try asking the company of the brand you use what chemicals specifically they use, they won't tell you – but of course being chemicals people can become sensitive to them. Many manufacturers use harmful and irritating chemicals in other products they manufacturer, so it is perfectly possible that the chemicals they use in tampons and pads are irritants as well.

Try switching to safer options such as organic tampons and organic pads, try reusable options such as sponge tampons or cloth pads, alternatively switch to a menstrual cup, see if that makes a difference, even if this is not the cause of your problem they are still far healthier than commercial tampons and commercial pads.

Of course these problems can be the result of something else; in all fairness I think it will be more of a health problem then down to what menstrual product you use, although yes these will contribute to any problem by affecting your vaginal health. Carry on pursuing your doctor or get a second opinion, many doctors will try to pass you off with these sorts of problems, simply do not let them as something is going on and it is their job to see what this problem is.

You need to have a appt right now with your doctor. I to had pains and I found out I had PCOS(polycystic ovary syndrome) it affects the ovary. When that time of the month came I really had bad cramps. But you also may have ovary cyst. They too can make you hurt the way you do. Make sure that when you use these products that they are not full of perfume because it can infect and knock your ph off. But if you do try do go for like fresh scents not flowers and stuff. Some people just cant handle it. But if you cant make it to the doctor just give her a call.

Hope that helps.

Pelvic pain or lower abdominal pain may be due to a lot of causes, it may not always be your ovaries. That part below the belly botton contains the uterus, the bladder, the ovaries, the intestines. If there is something wrong with these organs, this may be causing your pain. If it is cyclic (it occurs monthly), it may be a gynecologic problem. See your gynecologist. Allergy from female feminine products such as panty liners may cause itch down there which may become painful if it unattended.
