I don't believe so. I know many who believe in God, who I know to be immoral or unethical. I know many who do not beleive in God, who I know to be highly moral people.

It shouldn't matter. Morality is acting in accord with right...its a standard of conduct. There is also religious morality, but it has been argue is no more and no less than morality given a different reasoning. What you believe doesn't matter, what you do, how you live, the choices you make in line with your morality does.

If one believes that there is no G-d, then at some point morality becomes a matter of opinion. This can be either personal or cultural. Also, if morality is an opinion, it is not really binding and is more likely to be tossed aside when inconvenient than if it was something established by G-d.

Very interesting question but I believe that the question contradicts itself. Is your morality not majorly based on your religious belief?

If you fear God as the Christians believe - does it not dictate your moral values?

If you belief in Allah or Buddha or whatever - does this not dictate your moral values?

Same goes for Scientology and every other religious sect. Somehow I think you are putting the cart before the horse.

That's my opinion

I think it does, who sets up morals if you don't have God? Someone sets up morals, and evolution didn't do it, because morals and faith in God have caused people to become martyrs for their faith, and evolution teaches that everything is trying to survive and live longer. Sorry, I'm not trying to make all evolutionists angry, I just don't believe it, I think it is just as much a faith or belief in a theory as Intelligent Design. I hope that answers your question, thanks for reading. God bless you.

Religion can provide guidelines, but I believe morality can and should be a thing in and of itself. Yes, it has a religious connection, but "do unto others as you would have done unto you" is a good credo no matter what your religious inclination.

yes bec youre morality is relative to your design. Hence whats good for a monkey is not good for a man. Now if you say there is no design, I.E. no god there is no morailty

I think that the best morality is "to yield to Necessity", reading Nietzsche not to learn nor to inspire but to Ubermensch's 'do'

No, I don't think that morality is based on your religious belief, not everyone is religious.
