I saw on answers where a person was told that Auto Zone would pull the codes from your cars computer for free. I'd call them and ask. With the code info you'll get a clue as to what the problem is! ;-)=

Autozone will hook up a computer and diagnose it for free. But, the answer they give you might not be the only problem. Mechanics charge so much to diagnose those stupid warning lights because they often have to spends a couple hours checking all kinds of stuff.

Alot of time, if you go to a mechanic and say that your check engine light is on they will check it out for you, if there's something wrong then they will tell you to get it fixed, but as far as checking it out, no they should not charge you for that, only for fixing the problem.
