do u think that ur wage payment should go up???......i used to be one and got paid 2.23/hr.......i know we work for tips but an up in hourly wage should be nice.

Yes, it should go up. Or there should automatically be a 15% or 20% gratuity added to all bills, with the option of giving more. Or both. If you have to work longer to make the money to see a movie than the movie lasts, you aren't getting enough.

I worked as a waitress during this and previous summer and I got paid 30 euros/day. I was ok for me as a student but this season I'd like to earn more.
Tip are important (during world championship I had even 50 euros/day) but generally wage should be better - being a waitress/waiter is a very hard work!

I totally agree! I'm a busboy and i only get $4.35 an hour, and i bust my hump kissing up to customers,hoping to get maybe four bucks as a tips, whereas my friends, just sit there, saying, "Paper or plastic" and they make $7.05! wages need to be universal. Tips are not a part of wages, but a reward for good service, an incentive to work harder, and thus should not be considered in one's wages. But wow, you only got 2.23, that's terrible, i guess we're making SOME progress lol

When I was working in a restaurant I hated getting pay checks that were only 10 bucks or something...its so pointless. I def. think that the pay needs to go up a little...its kinda ridiculous.

I agree. My wife used to work as one and its hard to survive on tips. Especially while on a budget.

the pay for these people should definitely go up, the business should not be allowed to rely on patrons tips to pay the help, if prices go up so be it

i think servers need more an hour for when it is slow it is harder to get good or great tips
