who here is glad they gave that girl a second chance....(the one that sang with the funny facial expressions).....simon wanted her to go to hollywood paula and randy said no??? now thats weird

bear, I sure am....you can change facial expressions by doing some "mirror" time but you can't change the voice and to me hers was quite possibly the best yet...plus she is absolutely beautiful, she was soooooooo sweet too leaving the way she said thankyou to Simon...I think she was very dignified and to go back in with tears in her eyes and pull it off....THAT IS MY IDEA OF AN IDOL....I really hope she makes it to the real finals...as Simon would say...loved it!!!!!!

I am glad they gave her a second chance because she can sing and the rest of it is performance which can be worked on.

The contestant was from San Antonio, Ashlyn Carr, and was reportedly arrested in August and accused of pouring sugar into the gas tank of her ex-boyfriend while a student at Sam Houston State University,
according to a report in The Houstonian Online. When confronted by police, says The Houstonian, Carr confessed to the crime. Carr was criticized by Idol judges for making weird facial expressions during
her audition.

Ya i dont know whats going on. Paula is being mean this year and Simon is being nice. I think paula is addicted to pain pills. She slurrs constantly and i think Simon is getting to old for this or something. But yes the girl was beautiful and could sing but her facial expressions were horrible. LOL. if she wins those pics will haunt her!!!

I was so glad they gave her a second chance. It really surprised me that Simon came to her defense. I have never seen him come to anyone's defense like that and so it probably made Paula and Randy realize they had better give her another shot.

I'm glad they did that too. Simon really surprised me with that though. He never does anything like that.

I just hope she really does use the positive criticism they gave her and works on the facial expressions. She really was a good unique singer!

I did think she had a great voice, but Paula and Randy were right, she did have funny facial expressions.
I'm happy they decided to give her a second chance.

I thought that was weird too and I'm glad they gave her another chance. She can sing, but she sounds a bit nasaly to me. But in the past, the contestants improve dramatically after they get to Hollywood and she definitely has potential.

Her name was Ashlyn. I thought she had a very unique voice, but do I think she really has a chance at the finals? No.
Im not even sure if she'll make it through the next round, but I may be wrong. Just my opinion.

I know that is true but she really had a unique voice. I wonder what all those expressions were about. I am looking forward to her breaking her bad habits. It should really be interesting to watch her improve. Don't ya think

She STILL made the funny faces and didn't sing as well the second time. She sure is pretty. It was cool they acutally gave her the second chance, though.
