I recently discovered that one of the root words of technology is "techne" which means art. When mankind is reaching for technological advances, it is trying to create...art. However, man gets carried away with what it is capable of doing. The old story of the Tower of Babel comes to mind. Man got over zealous and decided to build a tower that reached all the way to Heaven. We tend to go too far because we see no danger in doing so. We will get what is coming to us.
