I posted a Q yesterday about 9/11 . Got 51 responses, and about 48 of them were passionate, honest responses, minus any mud-slinging . That's a hopeful sign !!

What issue(s) do you think we can all UNITE on ? The enemy wants to DIVIDE us.. . . . . and for now, they've succeeded . Where do you draw the line and say we NEED TO UNITE ?

Chocolate? I doubt we can agree on anything of importance right now.

I drew the line a long time ago. We do not need to continually bash the President while our nation is at war. The politicizing and sensationalizing of every tragedy contributed to our divide.

EDIT: We can all agree that we love chocolate, but don't ask us where we should buy it! We will all put on our sunglasses and sneak into Walmart. Then come here and bash Walmart.

Well, now that the liberal party has managed to dis-joint the entire nation and split everyone up so they can be assured they can get into the White House in '08, there isn't much except American Poverty and getting our outsourced jobs back into the United States, where they belong.

I'm certain you must agree that since the major corporations have outsourced most of our jobs to India, we are hurting. We truly need those jobs back as more and more people are coming here for citizenship. Wouldn't you agree? I think that is what ALL people should be pulling for. Those outsourced jobs created larger unemployment lines for those in the computer tech industry. Even the Call Center assistance. Our tech calls are all rerouted to India for computer help.

So ALL Americans should unite to get those jobs back into the US where they belong.

If Econ 101 were part of the high school curriculum, within a generation we would be united on economic issues - it's just that what is now the Lib position on those issues wouldn't exist.

I honestly don't know what could unite people now. The parties seem to thrive on the BS and the conflict. It's a shame, because we need more unity as a country, but I don't see how it can happen as yet.

I'd like to say the environment, but I'd be wrong. If we can't even agree to preserve the very world in which we all live, I don't see much hope for uniting on any issue.

Sorry to be a downer, but I believe there will always be at least a few dissenters.

Actually, I don't know if there is anything that we could be united on. Sure, both sides want peace and prosperity for the US, but we have different ideas about how to accomplish this, and therein lies the conflict.

Basic to "business" without the rhetoric of "baggage". Keep it to the point and conduct government as it was intended, for all issues.

We shouldn't unite, if we unite we're no longer a Democracy. You should be asking the question what happened to TOLERANCE?

Now that some liberals have degraded our troops there can never be a way to unite us with them.
