they are luckier than many children in south-east asia...examples, good computers, computer games, big tv, cable tv programs, good & healthy food, etc...
but i hope to see their parents instiilling more moral values on them.
they need to be more polite & respectful to others, including teachers, domestic helpers, or unfortunate folks.
@ the other side of the coin, they are more pressurized to study more subjects, & many other activities are thrusted upon them. they are being programmed to get better grades & learn things faster.
also, they should play more, with social contacts....not communicating thru' computers & handphones.

Singapore children are more fortunate in a way as compared to us children many years back. They got to travel to many countries and some travel as often as 2-4 times/year. They have the latest gadgets (PS3, Xbox 360, mobile phone, laptop, etc). However, they are more stress these days too as the education standard is going up. Check out the amount of textbooks primary school children have to carry to school. They use trolley bags nowadays. So poor thing - textbooks too many and heavy to use backpack.
Another sad thing is that a lot of Singapore children are lacking the interest to study and learn Mandarin, giving the excuse that Chinese is difficult to write. It is a shame as no doubt we are Chinese and it is to our advantage if we learn to write and speak our language.
