Considering the number of stars out there just in our galaxy, I have to believe there's other life out there. Here's one astronomer's take on it (Drake equation) ..

I'm sure there is a lot of life in our galaxy, but I am not so sure of it being intelligent to the extant as homo sapiens are. And even if it did emerge eventually, there are more likely to either exterminate themselves(via nucluer war) or by outside forces(viruses,astriod/comet impacts.,more likely even before they were to reach even our technological level.
You must understand that evolution of life isn't about progress towards 'higher' species as it really it's about means of survival. Also evolution tend to work with what has happened, nor is it exactly an innovator generally. This is not exactly to say there isn't alien life like us,but don't expect aliens running all over the galaxyaka star wars star trek. Then again, who knows I could well be proven wrong with that even. Only Time will tell.

Probably not. The basic building blocks of life are all through the universe.
The huge number of possible planets in our galaxy alone suggests that their should be life on more than one.
The distances between us will however make it very unlikely we will ever make contact.
Life on other worlds however may never ask your question.

Rationally, the only answer is yes. From a logical reasoning standpoint, regardless of the known size of the universe, just because something can not be disproved does not make it true. This this case, just because we can not disprove the existence of other lifeforms, that does not mean they exist. Since there is no other sound evidence proving the existence of extra-terrestrial life, we have to accept that there is none.

Don't you think this question is better suited as "do you think we're alone in the universe?"

My answer: No. Life may be out there, even if it's in a different form. can that even still be called what we know as life if not defined by our standards?...anyway, I think there's *something*

Technically, if you think about it. The universe IS really big. there are probably trillions of galaxies and planetary systems out there. even with the small possibilities that our planets has formed life, i don't see why not other galaxies, other planetary system could not support life

No! We are one among many.
I assume you mean intelligent beings.
There are many types of life throughout the universe, but there are millions like us.
They have never visited earth and we will never meet one but you can be sure they are out there.

Yes, that is, until that moment we found nothing in the universe but stars and star dust.

No way, whether we find out in our lifetimes or not remains to be seen.
