Hi there,

Hesperidine complex with Vitamin C has antioxidant properties and enhances blood flow in capillaries, which could be leading to a 'feel good' thing. Vitamin C even if taken in overdose of is not harmful as extra amounts of the vitamin are excreted from the body. I am not sure if the extracted or synthetically prepared Hesperidine is harmful or addictive. Maybe if you want to play safe, you could try natural citrus fruits and extracts instead of the product.

Jackie, It's the hesperidin. He needs to knock it off for a lot longer than a day or two. Too much of any essential can have harmful effects. Have him throw the stuff out and switch to a simple multi-vitamin. If he's eating a balanced diet, then he doesn't need a supplement at all.

water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin group B and C should be okay as they'd be passed out of your system if consumed in excess. However, fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E or K would get stored in your system and might turn toxic.

Just take everything in moderation and things should be fine

It depends on what type of vitamins are being taken, and in what doses to have any real side effects on the body.

Here is one link you could read through, it lists quite a few, both good and bad effects.

If they are making him feel healthy and have energy then they are doing their job.

When he skips a day he starts to feel the same as everyone else does that has a poor diet.

To him it just feels a lot worse because he has become used to feeling good and having lots of energy.
