Is it true that you shouldn't date someone of the same zodiac sign as you?

My ex and I were both Capricorns, and...well, he's my ex, you figure it out. Is it true that you should date outside of your sign? (I don't mean ask someone when they ask you out, but keep it in mind when deciding whether the guy you're dating is boyfriend potential).

No, my husband and I are both Aries. As long as you and your partner understand the strengths and weeknesses are your shared sign and you both compromise then it should be ok. Trick is sometimes one has to be the bigger person and that makes it tough.

Not so much. Two people of the same sign can date as long as they relate to each other. Some signs have better understanding of their signs that others have a hard time figuring out. I'm a Libra, my Pakistani guy friend is a Libra, we get a long great and share the same thoughts all the time. I've meet Gemini couples who understand each other. I don't know about two Scorpios, lol, they'd kill each other. Two Leos is the double the attention like Ben Afflect and Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry and Michael Ealy. Basically two signs is two of the same person, depends on the personality, and also which signs can work with their own.

The same sign might cause problems but not in the bedroom. it's worth the passion if nothing else. Depends on how important that is to you. It's nice to make love the way you want it to be!!!
@8-) As for getting along? No, you both are conflicted and don't compliment each other. Not worth the competition. Find out who Capricorn needs. Any zodiac sign can work with any other; it's all about just that, work. There are just certain signs that may that work a bit less stressful. :-)

Relationships are oftentimes plenty of work; marriage is even harder work. My fiancee is a Gemini, and I'm a Cancer. We see things differently very often! She thinks with her head, and I think with my heart; but we have learned a great lot from one another, and I consider myself very blessed to have her in my life.

I think two people of the same sign may have a harder time overcoming their bad habits together (two Cancers, for example, would become homebody's and not get out enough, or two Leos may simply party until they exhaust themselves, and their money, long before payday), but I don't think you shouldn't explore that avenue if it presents itself. Love is love, no matter of the sign, and two people of the same sign can often understand each other with just a look.

I think there will always be both good and bad points to every zodiac pairing; it's just a matter of overcoming differences (or similarities), and working toward the common goal of love.

No,I don't believe that.I've never dated a male virgo,but I've been friends with several and personally I felt that the ones I knew just like me as a friend and nothing more(or vice versa I felt that way about them).Yet I don't consider that to mean a "no go",just that the one's I encountered we just didn't click romantically.We've always liked each other anyway.I've noticed that the best and worst traits in couples with the same sun sign are magified for better or worse,but it's how you learn to deal with that and understand each other that I think is more important.Besides you always have other factors in your birthchart to look at besides only your suns signs for compatability,like ascendant,moon,and other planets,etc that can give a clear picture of one's needs and drives and expression than simply just the sun sign itself.

Not enough information. People generally do not understand that 1. Horoscopes do NOT fit everybody, if it works for you, fine, but there are many people that it DOES NOT FIT. 2. The horoscope you read in the paper is just a listing describing your "Sun Sign", this IS the most powerful influence in your "Birth Chart", but every sun sign has a RULING planet, and there are more than a dozen other influences. Take myself for example, my sun is in Libra. But of the three most influential aspects (Sun, Moon & Rising) my other two are both in Leo. Add to this that Libra's ruler is Venus, and my Venus is in Virgo... Maybe you start to see what I mean. In general, no it is not a good thing that you are too much like your mate... But just your sun sign isn't likely to be enough to make it critical.

I don't believe the date you were born on affects your personality in any way at all. Astrology has always been a contrived way for some mystical looking people to make a bit of cash on the side. Please go out with whoever you feel is right for you. Don't bother asking what star-sign they are. It will not make the slightest bit of difference.

No, it doesn't matter. Signs are just signs. Only some people believe in all that horoscope stuff. Chances are you and your ex just weren't right for each other... and it was definitely a coincidence that he's Capricorn and u r 2.

Not really. Nope. Me and my spouse are both aquarius. We r happy together. I think it's all about how the person education that reflect the way of living his/her life. Zodiac just giving clues of a person behavior, not his/her destiny.
