... in some of their answers to questions on here? It seems almost like holding a picture up and asking someone what's going on in the picture - the person is going to subconsciously reveal something about current life issues.

I don't think I made the question clear enough. I'm not referring to people's questions revealing life issues, I'm speaking of their answers to other people's questions.

Yes of course! Thats what yahoo answers is about...asking questions dealing with the problems you are facing right now. Or...well, thats what I do :)

Sometimes I will be online, and I will see something that reminds me of something that I want to know, and coming on here is so easy to get answers...because the people answering...have the choice to answer you...therefore...its not like begging people who dont know the answer to your problems for help.....the people usually know what they are talking about, or have the resources to show you what you need to know

However, I would agree that some people ask some pretty stupid questions...and Im going to admit...I have asked dumb things just to see what people would say. But there are also people that will answer back with useless information or just plain out funny responses that make no sense...who knows, maybe they enjoy the reactions other have

Sure they do , thats what this is all about . Why not ? Everyone has issues and some are worse than others , so why not get other psoples answers that might help someone . I mean maybe someone has went through the same thing and has an answer to help another that they havnt tried .

I don't think you can honestly and correctly answer withOUT revealing something about yourself. Of course you always reveal something. Even if it is just the level of your grammar and writing skills.
There are ways to reveal as little about yourself as possible while answering. Those who would like to help but are cautious of this should make those extra efforts to do so. Otherwise, if you feel you would be giving too much of yourself away, my suggestion is to abstain and trust that someone else will assist as best they can.
