I don't think that we have the technology to make a robot that will pass as a human yet. Just making something that can walk upright is hard, much less walk with the natural gait and fluid stride that most people can do. Voice synthesis is also hard, and voice recognition even more so. How many times have you called a customer help line and got a computer-generated voice, and thought, "Oh, that's fake!". If someone developed a really, REALLY good voice recognition system that could actually carry on a conversation with a human, they'd make a fortune with it, and it would be everywhere.

Of course not. We're not even close with technology. We can produce robots that re mechanical arms that weld pieces of cars together but that's about it except for some research stuff where they're trying to get machines to walk up and down stairs.

I think that really doesnt matter, I mean you can basically even say yes, because of all the new technological advances around us, machinery can considered to be robots, after all alot of the machinery contain a much wider range of intelligence compared to a human being.
