Nope. and men aren't smarter than women either. The whole subject is so misunderstood.
Studies show that men tend to have a more varied aptitude, meaning they make up some of the smartest people in the world and at the same time, some of the dumbest people in the world.
Women tend to be closer to average intelligence, that is not to say there aren't plenty of women with above and below average intelligence and plenty of men with average intelligence, but generally speaking, men tend to fall more at the extremes and women tend to fall more at the mean.
HTH : )

Actually, recent studies have concluded that men are in fact smarter than women, though by only an IQ point or two.
But you really shouldn't measure genders against each other since we really really are quite different.
Women have other mental strengths. For example women are much better at multi-tasking. So while a guy can use his "powerful" brain to do a task, the woman next to him can use her "99% powerful" brain to do 5 tasks at once.
I think women have the advantage there.

Isn't it all a matter of perception and cultural boundaries? Look at Condaleesa Rice. Her is a women of influence traveling all over the world as a Representative of the most powerful country in history. Yet the general consensus is that Hillary Clinton is the smartest woman in the world. Why? Because she didn't divorce Bill Clinton thereby having one less controversy if she runs for President? How many foreign powers would rather see their women in veils then across the negotiating table? Remember Communist China, limiting the birth of female babies and then limiting their educational opportunities. Maybe there are more women in the educational field because there are more economic opportunities for men in fields that are traditionally dominated by men. So maybe the answer for your question is "who controls/has the most wealth, women or men?"

Differences Yes, one smarter then the other? No. There are more women in college than men, many men do physical jobs that initially pay more but the college later surpasses it. What angers me is the feminism (I'm a 40 yo guy) who used to be a feminist, but not anymore. If women say they are better at multitasking its called "empowerment", If men say they are better at spatial tasks he is "sexist" and could loose his job,( or should at least make a public apology) now lets hear about the "double standards".ALWAYS!!!! about how women are shortchanged. I need to vent, Thanks

There is No Doubt that 'SOME' Women are more Academically Successful and Motivated!
I employ a woman P.A. and she is the Best!!-Smart and Foreword thinking!
But I think you have to draw a Line and say that equal Numbers of male and Females are High-Functioning!

I'm not a man but I can sum it up in one word: FEMINIZATION.
Boys and girls learn things in different ways, and it's not social conditioning; it's how they're wired. Girls are more likely to sit down, boys want to run around.
Girls tend to do better in languages and arts, while boys tend to do better in math and science. No, it's NOT social conditioning, despite what the National Organization of Wretches wants you to believe.
It would be accurate to say, males have their strengths and weaknesses, and so do females. Interestingly enough, they're complementary.

Women take more jobs in education, however on IQ alone, men are slightly smarter (roughly about 5 points)
However, we have to bear in mind that women and men tend to excell in different fields. For example, women have larger vocabularies when it comes to english. Whereas men are better in fields such as engineering/mathematics (spatial awareness)

i dont necessarily think it is so... it depends in which fields did these women excel. i know for a fact men are far better in technical stuff and only a few women are into that. i dont think any is above the other, we all have our areas of intellect... i was an excellent literature student and have become a good copywriter and my boyfriend for instance is mad about numbers, stats and tearing down computers then putting them back together. i have a fear of numbers, he cant spell to save his life or put together a written sentence that makes sense... i for one cant fight back when my PC retaliates and i become blond. so i think we all have our own areas...no sex is above the other in braun. thanks.
