It doesnt sound normal to me. Even modern phones dont need 16hrs for the 1st charge. I think its a software problem. The phone may need a software upgrade but its not a problem just go to www.nokia.com then support. You will need a usb cable. If you have any problems then take it to your Nokia repair centre. Its also possible that it could be a dodgy battery. Or even a faulty charger.

Acually I do't think this is normal. My Bestfriend has a Nokia 6111 and it never takes that long to Charge. Unless this is the first time you actaully charged it.

Hi - it should tell you in the booklet that the phone came with how long itll take to charge for the first time. If you didnt get a booklet, check on the Nokia website for the user manual for your model of phone and thatll hold the same info as the booklet would. Hope this helps!

If you want the battery to last, drain it completely. I mean until it turns off on it's own. Then give it a good time to fully charge with no interruptions. Cell phone batteries have memories, if you take it off the charger early, it will not hold a complete charge, by draining it completely, you will reset the memory, then let it charge for a long time without touching it. My cell phone lasts about a week on one charge. And I use it quite frequently. No, it's not an aftermarket battery either, it's factory.

If this is not the first time you have charged it, (in which case it would be normal), then I would think it is unusual. Keep an eye on it - it could just have got very low. But if it continues to take this long then go see the place you got it from.

Pull the plug out or switch the electricity off for a moment and then back on. Watch your screen and if your phone is switched on it will display a message like battery fully charged. If not it may be a fault in which case bring it back to any phone shop to have it replaced.

It isn't normal if you have charged it before. I sould check the manual for the phone or check the fuse in the charger. Is it working?

This information can be found in the owner's manual that you got with the phone.

If it's the first time you charged it yes.
But it's best to read the manual.
