Is it normal for young boys to masterbate with each other?

Is that considered gay? My new gay said he used to do that when he was 8-11, but I think that is old enough to know what sex you like the best and the only time I've heard any thing like this was from my gay best friend. The other thing he said was that if were to ever mess around with a guy it would be with a younger one. That young guy this I find weird too?!!

Actually statistically its something over 30% of boys do masturbate with one another. It is not regarded as being homosexual. Alot of straight boys I knew masturbated with each other and had sex with each other until well into our teens. *shrug* they are straight as arrows.

I think you worry entirely too much, and he is entirely too trusting before he knows you very well. Please show him both your question and this answer -- for both of your sakes.

Quite. You'd be surprised to find out how often young boys masturbate in the presence of one another, sometimes just doing it, sometimes doing it while being stimulated another way (like looking at a dirty magazine together). Oftentimes, whole groups of boys engage in 'circle jerks' where they merely masturbate in one another's presence.

It doesn't mean they're gay at all, although a gay kid could certainly be part of it and enjoy it. A heft majority of straight men I know have done this or some version of it. Who can say why they really do it- maybe it's curiosity, maybe it's the inherent excitement at exhibitionism, maybe it's the desire to share one's sexual discoveries (oftentimes when boys do this, it's a slightly older kid 'teaching' it to a younger one), to compare penis size, to share precious few sexual materials they might have somehow found, whatever.

So there you go. It's just something that a lot of guys do when they're younger- not all, but a lot. Doesn't mean anything about their sexual orientation or that they were experimenting or trying to figure it out; they just did and still to this day do it. As for why your friend said that if he were ever to mess around with another guy it would be a younger one, I don't know what's up with that. Just a personal preference, I guess, and completely harmless (so long as he's not wanting to go after illegally young children).

Contrary to conservative opinions, there is a difference between homosexuality and deviant sexual behavior. Between 8 and 11 is in my opinion a little too early to tell. It's the discovery and experimentation stage of sexuality. What does he mean by a younger guy? There's a line there and you need to be specific. Even in the hetro world there are age boundaries that can land a person in prison.

When I was around this age we would "experiment" into this relm.The 3 of us now are in our 50's,all married with families.
At that time we mimiced some things we found in an adult magizine.We had no idea what we were doing or what the felling was.
So this age could be and in some cases an experimenting stage.
