It worked fine before I took it into be repaired and was told it had a virus. Got it back, hooked it up, and now can't get it to work. Unfortunately, I can't find my printer's disk. My digital camera is not being recognized either.

Any ideas?

I find the tech telling you the printer had a virus weird. I also see some gaps in your info. Make, model, OS and how you connect to it would help. Completely uninstall printer setup and reinstall. The fact you are having other USB issues also makes me think perhaps the earlier answer about corrupted USB root drivers is a good place to start since it actually addresses ALL your symptoms. Perhaps it's your computer and not your printer that had and still has the virus.

One nice way for a virus to get of a computer is to reinstall the operating system, and if that is what the repairer did... then you do need to reinstall the software for your digital cam.
I am also sure that your printer should plug-and-play without the driver.

Please turn off your computer.... disconnect the cable between the printer and the computer.
Power-off the printer.
Turn on the computer...
Connect the data cable to the printer...then to the computer...
Now, turn on the printer...
The computer should display a message about a new device being dectected.
It is here you will need to insert you printer cd for the process to go on.

Otherwise, I advise you to change your data cable if the printer is powering-on. Probably, the printer and computer are not communicating then.

Good luck!

If your computer uses USB hook ups the drivers may have been compromised when you took it in for service, or by the virus itself.

Microsoft will have all the drivers and updates to fix the problem. If you have an automatic update service with your version of windows, do that if not you can email Microsoft support and they will direct you to the web page needed to resolve the issue.
