Ohayou gozaimasu - Good Morning
Kon nichi wa - Hello
Kon ban wa - Good Evening

In Osaka "Maido" is used frequesntly in place of a greeting word.
Just a slight difference in local culture and linguistics.

Also the Japanese style of using the actual word "Hello" is pronounced as "Ha roh".

Other ways of saying "hi" are as follows.
-Ossu (Hey)
-Iyou! (Hey)
-Saikin Dou? (What's up / What's crackin') Well sorta...
-Moshi moshi? (Used as the "Hello?" when you pick up the phone)
-Konchiwa! (Take out the NI from KONNICHIWA. This is a very informal way of saying hello. But you do not use it to friends or family. You'd use it to a neighbor for example.)
