Some junk yards do it for pretty cheap but you have to realize that you get what you pay for. There won't be a warranty and they most likely won't be very gentle about it. When swapping out a motor you are best off going to a local guy with a good rep. Check them out on the BBB site.

Define Cheap!
My Shop will get the car towed, go to a salvage yard and get an engine bring it back and put it in. I only give a warranty on the installation not the engine. I do clean the engine and check the water pump to make sure it is OK. I will replace any gaskets that are obvious leakers. I then will run the car for 50 miles to insure it is OK. I do this all for around 900 This includes the engine which runs 6-700. Probably won't find better

What kind of vehicle? Chevy? Toyota? What???
What do you consider cheap?
New or used?
