I don't know where you live but, in the UK, some companies allow call centre staff to work from home. I don't know what your skills and experience are tho.
The telephonist gets the appropriate telecoms / computer equipment installed and paid for by the employer, and is then rota'd to work on specific time patterns. You'd need to make sure that you are committed to working and your home is without distracting noises- kids etc.
Many co's, the UK's BT for instance, would generally allow this work pattern for members of staff that are viewed as reliable and trustworthy, as well as having the right attitude and skillset. So you may need to work from a business location first, before moving back home to work. Many employers are flexible though, if there are skills shortages.
Consider self-employment too, again if you have the right skillset. What could you make or what service could you provide that doesn't need lots of money to start-up? Ironing, clothes washing etc. Lots of busy workers could do with a hand - placing a local newsagent ad might be all you'd need to get started, costing just a few pennies.
Good luck! Rob

You could try signing up for a lot of Free survey sites. You can get paid or get points for reading email, joining focus groups, taking surveys and some other things. It won't be a lot of money but it doesn't cost to try.
