I am a couple of years removed from high school and I can honestly say that 215 is not too much. I was about 5'9'' and 200lbs and did 295 the end of my sophmore year and I wasnt the top sophmore at the school so depending on his size this is just a decent bench press. But once again you go back to how hard you should lift at such a young age and how good or bad it is for the bones but we wont get into that because that could take up pages.

If he can handle the weight it's not too much. I couldn't bench 205 until I was 23 lol. Then again I only weighed 155 lbs when I played football in high school. I was always jealous of you bigger guys. As long as he doesn't hurt himself then he should be fine.

Should be fine, hes obviously worked up to it, just to let me know how old are you if your in your "sophmore year" I'll guess about 15 right ? Or the equivalent of year 9 in High School elsewhere, and 205lbs is that about 80-90 kg ? (I dont have a calculator so divide by 2.2 = ?). A lot of kids bench similar weights, although any younger and you really have to watch the epihizeal plates, or the "growth" plates in your arms, or you could end up damaging these plates and restricting your growth.

age is irrelevent, how big are you guys? Some people are bigger younger. I knew a guy who could bench 255 in his sophmore year (not to mention he could carpet a small apartment w/all the body hair he has :D )

I'm half way through my freshman year, played offensive tackle. I bench 185 (and increasing) and squat 345. I weigh 205-ish. I can squat more than almost all of our varsity football team

what do you mean is that too much....hell no, if he is a football player he needs to get bigger and stronger so that he can play better....you might just be mad cause your younger brother is out pressing you....

Any amount he is able to lift with good technique and without experiencing any abnormal pain is just fine.
