To answer your question correctly, there are rappers that are half as good or maybe even a little better than "half as good". Lyrically speaking some examples would be Jay-Z, Nas, and Common, Tu Pac and Biggie [when they were alive(and for the HATERS Biggie is not, was not, and never has been more lyrically gifted than EM!)].

In my opinion No, there is not. I am someone who likes Rap from the 90's and was turned off by rap now with all the bootie smacking and cootie licking and all that. When he came out it was something different, something more people could relate to and brought more people to the Rap industry, although now he has a few songs out like that I still remain a true fan!
