First off Lilly went 8-12 as a Yankee...bad yes but nowhere near the worst.
I can think of a few with some Yankees for a very short time but memorable in thier awfulness to me.
Ed Whitson,Steve Kemp,Ken Phelps,Steve Trout,Carl Pavano to name a few.
If i had to pick one i would go with little known middle reliever/set up man George Frazier who is the only pitcher to lose 3 games in a single World Series vs the LA Dodgers in 1981...I was 13 and it still lingers.

Yankees would have never continued the champ run in 1998 without Chuck Knob. He was one of the best leadoff hitters Yanks EVER had.
To answer your question, Kevin Brown was, by far, the WORST Yankee EVER.

A-rod? He is one of the best.... he won the MVP two seasons ago!
I have to put there José Canseco. He played with the Yanks for 2 months and did not do anything valuable to the team.
Kevin Brown and Pavano are next.

How bout Drew Henson? Yanks (stupidly) invested all that time and $17mil for some one who had 9 major league at-bats.
