Hi! Has anyone had to get their cerclage taken out at 38 weeks and if so, how soon did you go into labor? I get mine taken out in a couple of days and the doctor figures that I will go into labor that day or in a couple of days but I have read that some people don't go into labor until their due date or even go past their due date

every pregnancy is different... some women do go into labor soon after their cerclage is removed. after your removal, go to the park or the mall and walk. walk a lot. that will help get things going, dilate your cervix. good luck and congrats on the little one!

i havent had mine taken out yet but my doctor told me that they will keep you for about 3 or 4 hours to see if labor starts and if not they will send you home. they said the same thing it could happen right away or you could go even past your due date. at least you made it this far right??

I had mine eradicated on Wednesday. they are asserting it sounds like an uncomfortable pap smear, even nevertheless I take place to think it was lots worse, even nevertheless i'm a sucker for affliction. the suited removal wasn't so risky (I only squeezed my husband's hand quite tough haha) even nevertheless it harm for a pair of hours later on, and that i bled rather in basic terms a sprint. even nevertheless it wasn't some thing a Tylenol might desire to not restoration.

I believe that's just stripping your membranes right? Why are you having it done so early? Eeeks 'induced' labor is HORRIBLE. But anyways- usually when your membranes are stripped it only takes a few days at the most for MOST women to go into labor- but it's like EVERYTHING ELSE- if your baby isn't ready and your body isn't ready- it doesn't matter what they do- labor won't start and keep progressing.
