You can start by speaking English properly, and reading and writing it wouldn't go astray either! They are very strict here. Having said that check the links below or you could employ an immigration agency who will do all that ground work for you. But they will cost you.

New Zealand is an easy place to find work if you have qualifications in certain areas such as teaching or engineering. The best place to start looking would be the New Zealand embassy website which should have links for those looking to work over there.

Learning to spell would be a good start, New Zealand is particular about who they let in, you need to either be going to buy a business, filling a skills requirement or educated to degree level - and i'm guessing you fail on the lot

If you are British, offer to marry a Kiwi. There are tons of Kiwis here that are looking for a way to stay past their 2-year visa!
