I've never seen Goodfellas.
It's all a matter of opinion and it's all reletive. But as far as everything just totally coming together. All the crew being absolutely top in their field and making a uniquely GOOD product, I'd have to say, Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Well you don't state your source for that positioning. So, how about letting us know if it is from an accredited journal or someone with a modem who fancied saying it?
All of that said, film historians, critical analysts and literary theorists have always said 'Citizen Kane' is the greatest film ever made. I would have to agree with them as it was the progenitor of so many techniques, styles and performances which followed it.

At the risk of sounding cliched and corny, Titanic.
Script: very catchy, storyline: drove people all over the world nuts, cinematography: brilliant, music: masterpiece, special FX: very well done, winner cast.
There's a reason for 11 oscar nominations and why 10 years later people are still fascinated with it.
