If you choose to perm, make sure the beautician knows what she is doing. I can't tell you how many times my beautiful locks have been fried by a bad perm. Then you have to get the frizz cut off, which makes the hair shorter. You may want to get a body wave instead of a perm; a good cosmetologist will know what's best for your hair. I stopped getting perms when I was in my mid-twenties, and I can't believe how healthy and shiny it is now, compared to in my teens and early twenties when I was burning it up with bad perms, hot rollers and curling irons. Plus, men love the kind of hair they can run their fingers through, and don't want to get caught in a big knot-- and like to see the hair shift a little in a breeze. But it's your head, your choice--these are just my own experiences--Good luck with your decision.

Im Sorry, But I dont think you should listen to anyone that posted NO on here..... I think a perm is a great idea.... I also have long blonde hair, and I am actually thinking about perming it myself. I have had perms quiet a lot, more then 6 or 7 times. I have been told I have "gorgeous" hair. I do not think that it ruins your hair, it you know how to maintain it right. I think a perm is a fabulous idea.... You can have it curly one day or straight the next.... So your hair can have different style everyday!!! Also, when your hair starts to grow out, all you have to do it take a blow dryer to it. The only problem with a perm is the smell, it can last up to three days, so I suggest doing it on Friday and staying home over the weekend!!!! But other then that a perm is a great idea!!

You are much better off getting a curling iron, or even putting rollers in beofre a night out. A perm is exactly that - permanent. Perms can also need a lot of after care if you want to avoid dry, broken hair. Keep your options open!

I wouldnt if I were you. Perms ruin hair. If you need a change, try getting a haircut. Nothing to drastic, just a different style. I have never permed my hair, and my sisters always have, and now I have healthy hair, and theirs is unhealthy. You can always buy a spiral curling iron. That would work nice for your long hair and it would look really good.

I hate perms it does so much damage. Why not go get a new style hair cut you can keep it long and still change it up a little.

hi if you want a change why dont you try curling it without perming it, you might regret getting it permed, if you like it then go for a soft perm, or what about some nice high/low lights, different without being drastic

depends on what condition your hair is in now. If you can get a good perm and it doesn't dry it out and make it look ruined then go for it. I prefer not to perm my hair it ruined it once.

NOOOOOO dont perm it thats drastic it will end up frizzy, uncontrolable, dryer than the desert...
Buy crimpers, or spiral tongs, or get it cut in another style not too short something choppy and easy to manage get copper highlights through it for added effect do not I repeat do not perm it
