1. This will not make a Series Circuit.
2. The battery is made up of multiple plates in 6 cells, for the most part the plates are evenly divided, however more cranking amps more plates and thicker, usually 6 to 12 plates/cell . All of their electrons are taught in a process called formation to flow from Neg to Pos. When you reverse that flow. well you get an accident on the GW (George Washington Bridge) all the electrons are trying to go the same way but the greater force being the current induced is saying no. They will overheat trying to reverse and if the battery is not totally dead it WILL explode sending Acid and Lead particles and Plastic everywhere.
If you have done this then realize oops, before the battery blows then you have just given the cells a wake yup call and you may short a cell or not. If prolonged then it will destroy a battery, if for a minute or less you need to cross your fingers you may be OK.

Sometimes nothing happens and sometimes alot of things happen. If the battery hasn't blown up, then just try to start the car. See if all the electrical t hinjgs work as usual. If it won't start then a fuse link or orther major fuse has blown & protedted the system.

by connecting the booster in series (+to-) you will create 24v throughout the car and blow fuses of anything on at the time and possibly cause an electrical fire....
When you connect parralell (+to + and -to-) you maintain 12V but get a higher current.
