Do you know a place or a website where I can choose and get a wide variety of bettas?

depends on the fish -- it is hard picking a favorite. i have a really grizzled combtail/split tail that is dark red almost black -- kind of dried blood colored that looks more like a dragon. I have a white crowntail with a perfect dorsal that rounds perfectly into the caudal and has dark scale outlines -- he is another dragony looking one. they are both amazing to watch because they don't look like any bettas i have seen before.
my half moons tend to be everyones favorite. one is a melano and the other is chinese red . the red is actually considered a fault because blue reds are prefered instead of yellow reds.

I like plakats and double tails. I turned down a female double tail the other week though. We have every tail option available locally in pet stores. I've owned at least one of each in females, but only veil males.

I don't like the double tails because they look deformed to me. The crowntails and halfmoons are gorgeous but my personal favourite is the plakat for sheer intensity of colour and spit. They look like mini pit-bulls (no offense to pit owners, I love those dogs and think them gentle pets)..

For males, crown tails and halfmoons. For females, the regular veil tale female or wild type. Basically the cheapest female at petco or petsmart.

It depends on personal taste and what you plan on keeping them in. Something with long finnage can't be in something with strong filtration (yes, Betta's need a filter, too) or with fast, nippy or bigger fish.
Your best bet would be to do research first if you want the Betta to stay happy and healthy.

It relies upon on the gender. =] For me, I choose the girls individuals to be veil tails. For the adult males, i like them crown tail. till they're royal blue. Then i like them to be veils for some ordinary reason....
