It is/was RM2,500 (two thousand five hundred) but with so many money exchangers, travellers cheques, ATM machines etc there is no real need to bring in so much money nowadays.

Lissa, I think you have made a typo or else you are giving out bad advice RM20,000 (twenty thousand?) I dont think so...not as a tourist anyway

You are allowed to bring in RM20,000 without declaring it. But ATM machines and money changer are everywhere. Its very very convenient to get money provided your ATM card/credit cards are compatible.
