I'm doing a project and at the minute, I'm just doing my project plan. I'm stuck already. I'm doing it about 'Conflict/Blood diamonds in Ivory Coast'. What do you think the geographical factors are?

Diamonds are often found in the ancient cores of volcanoes that brought them to the surface from deep within the earth where they were formed under great heat and pressure (and time). A study of geography would include the study of ancient volcanic activity within the area of interest. Good luck with your project.

You need to consider the political and socioeconomic fators of present day Cote d'Ivorie. Geography isn't just about where the country is, it concerns the people who live there.

Read as much as possible about the history of the country first. You're already going to study the diamond trade. Eventually you'll start to see the relationship between "colonies" and resource nations their home countries, and the impact on nations like Ivory Coast. Understand culture, economy, and place: those are your geographical factors.
