No.Being anti social means you have taken a conscious decision to shun society or to have a negative view on society.
What you are is lacking in self confidence. If you think people reckon you are stupid because you are in the habit of doing stupid things then practice thinking first and before you act..That will reduce your stupid actions wont it?
There is nothing wrong in being with a group and saying little.
Be happy to listen and then contribute when you have something worthwhile to say.
It is better to be thought a fool than to speak and prove it.
You say you avoid talking to people.
No you don't.
You've just been talking to me and the rest of the World !!!

I think you are being too self-conscious--for example--you say you think they may be thinking you are stupid--and then you say--they actually do--How do you know that? Maybe some people have told you that, but I'm sure not everyone thinks that. In fact, most people don't have the time to worry about how or what someone else is doing/behaving...If you are keeping quiet and to yourself--people may not notice you but I doubt they would be thinking that you are stupid (unless they are very immature)..Most normal, healthy people do not have time to go around thinking bad things about people who are shy. They are busy living their lives.
And overall, it is okay to be shy. Many people are--it is called being introverted...where you get most of your energy from being by yourself--doing things that don't necessarily require a great deal of interaction with others...it is completely normal...Now if you would like to change that--if you would like to experiment with being more extroverted--and with spending time with others--then that is fine..you can try to work on that by joining clubs etc--you can even seek out help via a therapist or counselor if you'd like. Especially if you perceive yourself as doing many stupid things--Again--you may be judging yourself too harshly here... Introvert and extrovert are just descriptions of how a person gains energy or interacts with their environment. I think these terms are okay. However, the lables anti-social, etc are very strong and should not be used lightly--
I think your cure is to accept yourself and not worry what others are thinking...Be Happy

Do u thing u have the authority to label yourself as stupid, unscruplous character. Then u r doing one of the biggest blunder of life.
Look at a child, after he is born within a few week he
moves his head later
he moves himself sideways
he tries to crawl
he tries to stand
he tries to walk ........ the list is big
Do he do anything stupid. He learns from his mistakes, how not to repeat it, and moves ahead.
Now look at yourself.
Go to each and every mistake u do, rectify it and ,move ahead
only this way u can progress.
Pl. inform me if this will be beneficial.
NO U R NOT ANITISOCIAL, U JUST NEED CORRECTION STAGE BY STAGE LIKE A CHILD.

u have a social anxiety with paranoia.
i'm kidding u just sound like u are insecure. so u need a little more confidence which can be gained by setting small goals and achieving them and by treating yourself kinder. getting into physical activities like karate or dancing can boost your self esteem and get u talking to other people in that activities.

yes, you classify as anti-social which is probably due to a low self esteem.
It's easily curable, you need to join some activities and work on yourself to feel better about who you are.
and you need to make an effort to talk to people and find them interesting, it will be an effort at first but will become second nature in no time

The thing that you have to realize is that it is their fault not yours|
When you are with them, they diss you in subtle ways, throwing you off and jamming your intelligence|
The cure to that is to find the *right* people - people who prefer what is right to what is hurtful to others - and your problem will be solved|
