eminem is a word associated with a hospital board meeting after
a suspicious death.
slim shady is his nickname and its because he is thin(slim)and
the shady means hes got a dark character (ie he is a shady character)

Well he came up with it and was rapping under that name in Detroit before he became Eminem. Slim, because he was always too skinny, and Shady because that was the street he grew up on. (or something along those lines) When he was signed by Dr Dre he didn't like that name and they came up with Eminem (a play on his first and last initials)
