Just had a 3 day period and used lots of towels which is highly unusual for me as I'm usually so light with just a slight show on one day and only every use one towel, if that! I had mild pains leading up to day of period like my cervix was opening (this has now stopped and my period has stopped) and when I had an orgasm the cervix was painful. Usually I don't get period pains at all and I've had a child and it sort of felt like my cervix opening for delivery but no way naer as painful!!! If it was an early miscarriage - can I just TTC as usual with my next cycle and do you think the cervical pain in orgasm will stop?? Wondered if anyone experienced anything similar...thanks so much...

Thanks! I've since continued bleeding - now 6 days so it must have been a m/c I'm sure. The pains in cervix have disappeared today. Thanks for your own experiences and I'm not going to wait TTC! I'll take a positive from this experience by the fact that I know I am ovulating. Good luck to all other TTCers!

Well I had a miscarriage last week but unusually I didn't get hardly any pain. When I have my period I usually get a sort of aching pain in my stomach and this is what I got about 6 hours after my bleeding started and only continued on and off for about 2 hours. The bleeding was a lot heavier than my normal periods though ans I thought it was never going to stop! Doctors say that bleeding after a miscarriage last 7-10 days, mine only lasted about 5 1/2 but i would have thought the bleeding would last more than 3 days if it was a miscarriage.

Anyway, on to the ttc. The person I saw at the hospital when I went said it is recommended to have one normal cycle before you begin trying again so that your body is able to recover. But my Dr said as it was so early (6 weeks) that if I wanted to try straight away that I should just go for it!

Not too sure about the cervical pain and orgasm though, sorry x

This is a huge sign to early early stage miscariage. The doctor calls it a term, but I can't remember what it is, basically the egg and sperm met but were not strong enough to hold so you would bleed it out and it would just seem to a person to be a heavy period with crampings. He said most women don't even know they have miscarried rather they just think they are having a bad period. It could have been or maybe not only your doctor can tell for sure.

Miscarriage, also known as spontaneous abortion, occurs when a pregnancy fails to progress before 20 weeks of gestation. Miscarriages are common, impacting up to 25 percent of recognized pregnancies. It can be difficult to determine if you had a miscarriage, since some symptoms also occur in healthy pregnancies. Always follow your physician's advice if you think you have suffered a miscarriage

sorry I can't tell you I have had 2 m/c and both I had horrible cramps to the point of can't moving crying and screaming with pain (and I am never one to complain of being in pain even when really ill) and then I bleed for 7-10 days . if you really want to know the hcg might still be in your system so you could do a hpt .. if it positive I suggest seeing a doctor.. I personally would rather not know and continue as normal.. good luck I wish you all the best

Hiya
When i had a miscarriage i was bleeding for 6 weeks with bad cramp pains all the time.I could bearly walk for the first few days after the miscarriage. It is prob different with every one but go to your doctors and explain all this.He can do a blood test and this can tell you weather it was an early miscarriage.I had to go back to the hospital every week for the 6 weeks for blood tests as they kept on coming back really high as though i was pregnant as soon as they dropped i did not have to go back any more

To be honest whatever it is it doesnt sound normal i would go straight to my docs as if it was a miscarraige you will need to get a d and c done if you dont get this done you could get infected.

it sounds like you may well have miscarried but i would have thought the bleeding would have lasted longer than three days, as for the pain in orgasm i would see your dr if it persists, good luck
