in 1989, Giuliani told Phil Donahue: "I've said that I'll uphold a woman's right of choice, that I will fund abortion so that a poor woman is not deprived of a right that others can exercise..."

Not only do taxpayer funded abortions fly in the face of conservative, pro-life voters, it also requires an interpretation of the constitution that embraces an implied right to privacy -- an exercise in the judicial activism that conservatives disdain.

Will conservatives and Evangelicals support this candidate?

No. Ask Giuliani that if his WHITE granddaughter got pregnant and wanted an abortion, would he pay for it. When white people talk about pro-choice, they really mean anybody but their children. It's the same old thing---kill the black and Hispanic babies, but leave the white babies alone. the abortion issue is race-centered and is a move toward ethic cleansing at government expense.

The better question might be does he still support funding of abortion! His view on pro-choice have not changed however it's the funding that matters. Many politician change their stand in less the 6 years let alone in over 17 years!
It's no difference then the slap in the face liberals have when criminals are executed! Most liberals don't believe in the death penalty! However if they live in one of the state which has capital punishment their tax dollars pay for it!!
Thank goodness that their are a lot of candidates to choose from on both sides. Don't want to see another election where people are voting for the lesser of two evils.

I don't want to use any of my tax dollars for murder. Let the doctors murder free of charge since they believe in it so much.
And every woman regardless of race has a choice. Nobody is making them have abortions other than the devil.
And it definitely is a woman's issue but most of the murders are actually performed by men doctors.

whoa, preacher is wrong abortion is not a race issue it's a women's issue and one i don't think men should be involved in ,and if he still feel's this way the it will most likley ruin his chances most die hard con's are not only agnist abortion many are also agnist birth control and there's some nut's who say that sex should only be for procreation (they never had good sex obviously) so if he sticks with what he said in 1989 he has no chance but i am sure he'll change his tune just as all politicians do when they want elected

That quote was from almost 20 years ago. I realize that Giuliani is pro-choice, but more recently he's said that he won't change the laws at ALL.
I'd go with the more recent quote.

Conservatives can also be pro-choice. I am one of many.
P.S. Where exactly in the Constitution is there any mention of medical issues, pro or con?

No I don't support his policy. I might vote for him only to keep Hillary from winning. I hope it doesn't come down to that because that's a sad state of affairs for the USA.

Many will not.

I don't know what his policy is now, 18 years later.
