No. I have nothing against America, but why would we want to suddenly become attached to another country? We've been a country in our own right for so long, the idea is just ridiculous. As for Wales, Scotland, etc, they should be given the vote on if they want to be a part of Great Britain. I know Scotland has wanted to become independent for so long, and they should be given the right to choose. After all, they never used to be part of Great Britain, had their own monarchy. But no way would anyone entertain the idea of becoming the 51st state. I'm English, by the way

America had better remember its place, Europeans found the place and colonised it, and gave it the civilisation it had. Then they start a war of independence against us British, bearing in mind that the only reason we lost was that our army was somewhat overstretched on that continent and we had a war with France to fight. It was deemed to much of a SHITHOLE to be worth diverting troops across there when there were important wars to be fought between the nations that really ruled the world, which were located in Europe. We left them to rot, (unfortunately that was a slight mistake because they did not rot, indeed they managed to survive in their swamps whilst being attacked by red indians, god only knows how). This may be a good time to point out that Britain did deal a traditional dose of humiliation on the nation which beat them, by sending troops from Canada to burn down the President's house, as that residence was known then, the reason it is called the White House is because they had to paint it white to cover up the burn marks left by the fire. Wales should decide for itself about being in the U.K.

The citizens of the United Kingdom would rather die than be part of the United States. Wales should not be part of Great Britain unless the citizens of Wales want to be part of Great Britain.

What makes you think that the 50 states are doing so great as it is? The great majority of American people who didn't vote for Bush and his munchkins have my sympathy.

In fact, I think it would be better if we just agree that this whole 'American independence' thing hasn't really worked out for the benefit of humanity in general, and the USA gives itself back: the original 13 states to Britain, much of the south and west to France, with Texas and California going to Mexico and Spain respectively, and the entire Midwest including Illinois and Michigan to the Native American peoples. Canada, being a responsible and civic-minded nation, can stay as it is.

God aren't Americans conceited ! As for the guy who would like to donate several US States to France - do you really think you can trust them ! A non committed Allie ? They are the greatest traitors in history, (Similar to the Italians really!), Australian by the way ! Probably a third of our country are decendants of the UK, I wish it were two thirds ! We love to beat them in Rugby - the old dart ! and if Northern hemisphere Rugby is further weakened, the gap between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres grows further still, just as the comparisons between the English and Australian Cricket teams, after a while decimating a friend becomes painful to watch ! On a serious note compare the value of the $US to the POUND or even the Euro ! Even the $AUD has gained 25% ON THE $US in recent years, hint - your economy is not that strong - you are suffering !

Come on, let's face it....America is a country full of big headed idiots who haven't got a clue about anything really.
I mean for god sake, the think it's normal to shoot and kill there Allies in war, (Blue on blue). they must get a kick out of it and it happens that often that they even christened it 'friendly fire'
The bloody yanks can only fight by shooting anything that moves, regardless of who they hit.
They did well in Vietnam didn't they....NOT.
I personally hate the cocky attitude of the arrogant wanker$ and if this sh1t hole of a country called Britain becomes a state of America then were all doomed.
Yes, i can't stand Americans and I'm sick of them claiming 'if it wasn't for the US then Britain would a German ruled country'. What a load of crap you lot spout....You yanks need to read the actual history books instead of believing the stuff that comes out of Hollywood...if Hollywood was true then Rambo won Vietnam single-handed......THE MOVIES AREN'T REAL PEOPLE.

I don't know why wales or Scotland should be part of great Britain - the welsh and the Scots will just have to get on and vote overwhelmingly for their respective nationalist party's - they've got the mechanism, just get on with it and stop griping.

Yes what a great idea!! Then we can all be brainwashed with crap from the government, and we can all own a nice big gun, and blow each other away if we have problems with one another. Also, we could start a few more illegal wars for oil if you liked, whilst at the same time killing thousands of people and even our own troops in so-called 'friendly-fire'??

What have the two parts to your question got to do with each other?
Great Britain is a collective, it struggles from time to time, but each individual section needs the others to make them viable.
The USA on the other-hand is already too large and too influential. If we need to be part of a larger conglomerate then we should bite the bullet and become a fully fledged member of the EU.

You're having a laugh, the worse thing we did was lose the war of independance and allowed the yanks to look after themselves. Another couple of questions? Why do all Americans think they are better than everyone else? When we know we are..... Secondly why can't Americans use correct English spellings and words? Is it because they are so dumb they can't spell English words correctly?
