when we all stop believing that wars are the only solution to problems. when we all learn to understand and tolerate another race/religion, and stop being racist and stereotyping. when we learn to differ between constructive criticism and hate speech. when we value Freedom of Speech, and REALLY use it responsibly.
fret not, though a minority, the people who have these values do exists =)
i believe, to increase the numbers of such people with these values, MORAL EDUCATION in schools and at home should be focused more on. both parents and teachers must work together, to make sure their children do not grow up to be "hateful" people. the solution is still within our grasp =)

You know making world peaceful is like reading a fairytale these days . we cannot make the whole happy and peaceful u see ! but yeah there is 1 thing we can help with .if you cannot add any happiness to this world donnot take out any from it. if you are selfish on stupid matters then be slefish at your home just don't try that in your social world so that atleast people can stay peacfully around you.

The Principle of "Peaceful Co-existance", Religious tolerance and Humane approach to all problems/altercations.
Use of force/power like the one done in Iraq would fetch more destruction than peace.
One can remember the great Indian Saint called Mahatama Gandhi and his principle of Non-violence.

Developing peace in ourselves individually. In Bhagavad Gita, Krishna tells Arjuna that the true war is not between us and outside elements but within our own minds, that the external war is just an outer form of our own innner war.
