What a silly question - how could Yahoo! be slanting its news coverage if it does not do news of its own, but merely publishes various and diverse news sources around the world?

On Yahoo one usually finds news right as they were published by various news agencies... Of course, there may be difference between what individual news agencies from various countries say, but a sensible person would always read several sources as the truth is usually somewhere inbetween, and there is no single news source you could trust.

I agree with the person above.
I think Yahoo is using news as a means of attracting people and keeping them active on their websites. They are obviously fairly successful, as Yahoo Answers illustrates.
So for them, they want news items that people will read.
I'm just guessing, but if the news is changing it's stance, it is probably because of a change in the tastes of viewers.
