No it is not necessary.
You could be a guy who can take love and affection which should be intended for your wife and squander it on whores.
You could also be a guy who does not care who he hurts without a bit of consience but it is not necessary.
You could be cheating scum and not really care.
But No it is not necessary.

Yes, it's necessary. You marry to be with one, and only one person. You commit yourself to that person.
If you want other relationships, don't get married.
