A marriage is a socially, religiously, or legally recognized relationship. The most commonly recognized form is between a man and a woman, who become known as husband and wife.[1][2] However, the concept of marriage is not uniformly defined, whether legally, culturally or historically.

In most areas of the world, marriage is defined strictly as involving only one woman and one man per relationship. In many countries, marriages which do not match this description are illegal. However, in recent years, this has begun to change.

It is a method for creating and sealing a kind of "container," so that the energies produced when two people come up against the extremely difficult issues that arise in a relationship do not leak or drain away, but are contained, protected, and used to find and develop real, true happiness.

The definition of marriage depends on not only the historial period, but also on the geographical location and the cultural traditions of the individuals involved in the marriage relationship.
A general definition of marriage is that it is a social contract between two individuals that unites their lives legally, economically and emotionally.

Being married also gives legitmacy to sexual relations within the marriage. There are different forms of marriage such as:

monogamy, polygamy, polygyny, polyandry, same-sex, pragmatic (arranged), romantic and forced.

Finding that one special person that you can truly, and I mean truly, share everything with. Knowing that even if there is something that the other is not keen on they will at least have the respect of the other and accept it and not judge negatively. Being able to compromise and trust together and last but not least be able to have an open, free, and fun sexual relationship with each other. Thats my definition of what I think it should be.

After Divorce, if you repeat mistake, than I would say that dont't marry.

Look it up in the dictionary.

Foremost, I think it's a promise between two people who love each other. It's between them and not for anyone else to define. The act of matrimony is a public celebration of that bond.

Secondly, its been miss-appropriated by Christianity and insecure, homophobic conservatives.

Compromise. Someone is always "going along" with the other person's wants. Two people never want to the do the exact same things ALL the time.
