i agree with u i think its about time they realize it!! zidane has anger management problems!! its not the first time he did that and materazzi did NOT deserve it!! soccer players say things like that to each other all the time!! i cant wait until people admit zidane was wrong

It would be a combination of interactions between Materazzi and Zidane and the emotional nature of the situation. When there is a major prize involved, some people tend to overreact and let their emotions take over. I believe both of the players overreacted in their ways. Both players were intending to be lighthearted, but Materazzi ended up saying something that insulted Zidane. That is probably why Zidane responded in that fashion towards Materazzi...

ok, Zidane might have been wrong, but it's also Materazzi's fault for talking about his mother and sister..
i read an article about this about a month after the WC, and materazzi said "Zidane was my favorite player and is also a role-model for me when i was young"....i dont think he was telling the truth, because you would NEVER do that to your favorite player that's for sure!

How would you feel if someone commented about ur family on a football field i know it looks bad but thats just cause a super star like him did such a thing but if a common man had done it i dont think it would have been regarded as this bad and remember mat has a habit of doing dumb things he got butted twice clearly proving that he is trying to provoke all the players!!

Thuram can't speak for the whole French population, I know that he was the most pissed at Zidane right after the incident. Can you just imagine Titi saying that Zizou was wrong, not in my lifetime or ever.

YES!!! It's about time... the headbutt incident was a bad way to end his football/soccer career. He should've known better. People look up to him, especially the youngsters.

Zidane wasn't wrong in head-butting Materazzi, if some ugly rat insulted my mother and sister 3 times in a row, i would have showed him what hell would be like, NO THE LEGEND WASN'T WRONG, MATERAZZI DESERVED IT, AND HE FELL LIKE A LITTLE GIRL!
LONG LIVE ZIZOU THE LEGEND!
