Why not?Sebastian is a nice name.It doesn't matter what are the first letters of all the other family members.Well,in the world there are 1,000,000,000 people whose names start with an "S".Is that a reason not to name your child the way you want?I don't think so:)

I wouldn't worry about the starting with an S part - if you like the name Sebastian then go for it. It's a nice name.

I like the name Sebastian. I noticed that your name is Baby number 2 or something similiar...did you name the first baby a S name? If so, then you might want to stick with it. If not, then maybe use the initial of the first childs name so they are similiar.
The S names I really like are Silas and Seth. I think that Shane is cute too. Sawyer is also a favorite of mine! :)
I have an S name - Shaye. I think of it as strictly a feminine name, but apparently boys use it too!

I agree Sebastian is a nice name. But you have to be happy in following tradition if that's what it is. You have to remember the name you give to your child stays for the rest of his life. Do you really want the intial "S" or is there another name you really want. Listen to your heart and besides when you see him you'll know if he's a Sebastian or not.

well you are clearly thinking BOY-for those who have suggested girl names. I like Sebastian. I think it is a cute name and you don't hear to much any more. Next time clarify if it is for a boy or girl-because I would not like to see a girl with that name.

Sebastian is a great name. In fact, it tends to hold true that the more letters that are in your name, the stronger your personality will be.

I think Sebastian is a pretty name, there's also Samuel, Sal....short for Salvador, Scott. You may want to look online for more baby names, or there's books with baby names also...have fun
