I am so sorry to hear this, I went through an identical experience.. I had a scan at 11 weeks which showed an egg sac developed to the 6 week stage, I had to return the following week to confirm if there had been any further developments, unfortunately there were not and I was told I had suffered a "silent miscarriage" basically this means that the baby never develops but the sac starts to. I had to go to hospital and have a full miscarriage induced, this is done along the same means as a termination although I was given the option of the type and decided to have a non surgical procedure where the miscarriage is induced by tablet form, this was just slightly worse than a heavy period, I had to spend 1 evening in hospital but it meant no surgery had taken place. I then had a week long bleed like a period and everything returned to normal. My fingers are crossed for you but unfortunately I think you may be in the same place I was.

I had the same thing in my fourth pregnancy should have been 12 weeks but i had been bleeding the scan showed an empty sac so i had a blood test done which showed i was still pregnant. I was sent for an internal scan and was told they could just make out an image so i had to wait a week to go back for another scan. At this next scan it showed i was 6 weeks pregnant. Good luck and try not to worry.

Why might want to you've a experiment at 5 weeks? maximum human beings do not even understand they're preg till they have ignored a minimum of one era which will be as a lot as 6 weeks. Then frequent 1st experiment interior the united kingdom is 12 weeks. if you're bleeding and cramping then I doubt very a lot you're pregnant or in case you've been then you definately might want to have a ignored-miscarriage the position the fetus continues to be interior and also you may want to pass in for a scrape. 1st being pregnant I had, I went for 12 week experiment to discover there change into no progression after 6 weeks and no heartbeat. I had to have a scrape as I had a ignored-mis and so the fetus were useless for 6 weeks nevertheless interior. if it really is the case with you then you definately have my inner maximum and truthful sympathy.

sorry to say, but at my 12 weeks scan you could obviously see a baby. unless like she said your dates are completely wrong and you are in the first first weeks of pregnancy like 6 weeks or so, but doesn't sound good.

Do a search for "blighted ovum." (And "missed miscarriage," "missed abortion," etc.)
No, it doesn't sound good. I'm very sorry about that, and it probably doesn't help much right now to know that that sort of thing is pretty common. And it doesn't mean that there'll be any problems in the future, too.
