Why would you want to pay all that money for a laptop from America when you can get something with a higher learning level than the Americans could ever achieve from any Early learning centre in the UK?

Yes, with two notable exceptions. Your original laptop power supply will connect with a standard US two-prong or three-prong plug, and you'll need to get an adapter that will convert that plug configuration into one that's UK-compatible. The other exception is that any DVD drive that's included will be Region 1 compatible, and therefore unable to play any commercially-released DVDs that are native to the UK region.

Yea, but remember the voltage in the US is 110V and in the UK it is 220V, so you will either need a UK specific mains adaptor or a converter.
