I don't care about the cost. Which is the better console and why? Which has the most future potential? Thanks for any info.

360 all the way!!! more games. more stuff. ps3 isnt as good as everyone says it is. hardly any games and no one plays online
i have both and i hardly ever play my ps3. but im always playin my 360 waaay bettr.

The PS3.
Why?
Because it is more than just, a Game Console.
Just for starters you can install different OS on it, like linux and that way make it a full operating computer, you also have the Blue Ray for Hi Def movies and big games.
Just take this in consideration:
For the Xbox 360 to have the almost same features than the PS3 gives you for $600 USD it will need:
Console $400 USD
2 20 GB hard drives at $200 USD
1 HD- DVD drive at $200 USD
1 Wireless network adapter at $100 USD
Xbox live fee $50 USD
Grand total of $950 USD
Just to have some of the features.
I will want to see you trying to install a secondary OS on the XBOX. (NOT possible).
Also remember you are seeing 2nd generation games on the Xbox 360 (since it's has been out for a year), versus first generation games for the PS3.
As soon as the second generation game comes out for PS3, Xbox will be eating dust.
The Xbox max resolution is 1080i, the one for the PS3 is 1080p, this alone doesn’t make a difference if you have a crappy TV anyway, but if you have all your gear in place it will make a clear difference

hard decision...i would want neither. i never really got into xbox, although 360 has some bangin graphics, but all the games are either sports or first person shooter and that annoys me. i would get a ps3 but they aren't doing so well so there must be something wrong with them, and they have had 7 recalls so whatever is wrong with them is crucial to the system gameplay. although i think there will be a greater variety of games from them in the future, there just aren't that many out right now.
get a wii. they are the best.

PS3 is the better option sheerly in terms of graphics and game experince. It beats Xbox hands down I have read the reviews from major game mags so just hold on and wait for the PS3 the wait is worth it.

PS3, better graphics, plays HD and Blueray... I love the 360 also but the PS3 is the better buy. Also if you were to buy a blueray dvd player it would cost about the same as a PS3

PS3 is better , HD , blueray CDs (25-50 GB) , wireless controler with sensitive six axis that works with bluetooth , better graphics , really the PS3 is better than the X360 !

I think i will just stay with my ps2 . I love it and the price of games are starting to come down
