Christian Bale's not Irish, he's Welsh. There's good and bad looking people everywhere; assuming all Irish men are as hot as the 2 you mentioned is a bit stupid on your part. That's like saying all American men are gorgeous because Brad Pitt and George Clooney are. That being said, we're not the worst looking blokes out there ;-)

Pierce Brosnan! Larry Mullen from U2 - he is far cuter than Bono.
But Bono has that rough, weathered look that is very appealing, too! I even think the Edge is kind of hot...

For me it's a toss up between Colin Farrell & Bono from U2. I was never that impressed with Bono until I saw the video for "Sweetest Thing".... girl that man has some gorgeous eyes! Like good wine he's gotten finer with age.
