i think modern or latin or both...We don't have hip hop here [bad thing]

Latin! I vote for Latin! Well bellydancing is cool too, but I know nothing about it, other than it looks good.
Better yet, try two styles at the same time - it will give you better perspective and education, and maybe later you can pick what you like better. I dance Latin (because it's fun and I love it) and Ballroom (because it is there at the same studio and it is sooo easy to learn)
