i have a "g" router and i am about to purchase a PSP,the PSP runs only upon "b",will they be compatible ??

Yes. Any 802.11g and 802.11b devices can connect to each other. Both are using 2.4GHZ frequency band, as long as they have the same frequency, they will be able to connect to each other properly.

Yes, you can definitely use it. However, if the PSP works anything like the DS, you'll need to cap the speed at Wireless-B levels to get the PSP to play nice with it. Otherwise, you might find that it constantly drops your connection. I'd say go ahead and try it, but if that proves to be the case, you'll need to pick up a USB dongle that will allow the PSP to connect through a computer that's networked to your router. The software that's bundled with the official Nintendo device is probably only DS compatible, but there's at least one competing device out on the market in the US right now that's supposed to work with both.
