If planets really affect our lives and our fate is fixed, Then how come performing poojas, havans and prayers can change it.

An astrologer is a guide and the practice of astrology provides a road map for our lives. It points out our strengths, our weaknesses and available opportunities. It gives us several viable paths that are open to us.

We then choose which of those paths, if any, we would like to pursue. That we can choose is the free will part. Our fate is not fixed, but there are signs that suggest we would be better suited for this or that or that certain "crossroads" in our lives could come at this time or that time. There are even suggestions of possible outcomes based on the paths we choose.

But it is totally up to us what paths, if any, we choose. And you can choose none of the above as well.

It is but a map. We can travel any way we want.

Astrology and astronomy are different things, and no one can predict the future to a 100% value, the best anyone can do is look at what is going on in the world and base what they say on that. Only 10% of the time, they ever really get anything right.

Are those people who read your palms living on the beach, driving the BMW, and sending their children to prep school......Then I would say that that business is based on what they can sell you, and not on scientific facts like doctors who spend many years studying what they are about to do. Or lawyers, who also have a long post high school study.

Think about it, I could tell you to watch out for someone close to you this week, but you wouldn't believe it because here I am, typing this to you......It is so vague what those types tell you to "do" but they would rather tell you to sit back and wait for something to happen to you, and if it doesn't, then those stars had some eclipse or there is something going on up there....lol.....pay me to tell you that, please,.....no, really, I would like your money, too. Make checks payable to........lol

I would love it if your pooja made me a millionaire tommorrow, and please ask your havan to pray for me.

Who said it was fixed? Astrology and the like show where you are going, but not an absolute fixed in stone deal, except in rare circumstance. As for fortunetelling, a lot of people do it for free. I do it myself because I'm a beginner, and I like to see if what I've said comes to pass at all. I've had my astrology done several times, and 85-95% of what was said came to pass for me.

It is because their only trait is to predict good and that does not mean that they have good future or they can become millionnaires or become good actors, professors, engineers etc etc. Anyone can become good only in the things for which he is strong at and that is decided at the time and place of his/her birth. The strengths and weaknesses are decided by the way all planets are looking(light/energy of the planets) at him/her at the time of birth.

It does not change it what it does is make it a bit easier. Astrologers are like any other profession, a plumber has the worst pluming, a doctor has to see another doctor etc.

That is exactly the point, there is no such thing as future prediction, they are all fraud. Only God of the heavens knows about our future. Prediction is likely equivalent of Guessing.

I have often wondered why you need to make an appointment to see a fortune teller. They should just know you're coming.
