if are planning to go alone and if you are planning it before say a month then there are many small domestic airlines from many metro cities which cost really nothing.starting from 975 up to 1500(incl. of taxes).
The second way is by train which costs you around 350 from Bombay.
if you are going in a group(6-8 persons) on equal contribution then hire or use a diesel vehicle and it would hardly cost you 250.
Every rate mentioned here is ex-Bombay as i am from Bombay .
